Poetical matter I. [microform], [1863-ca. 1923].

Bound holograph volume compiling poetic descriptions, ideas for poems, drafts of "The Aged Bagman" or "Woodgate's Inn" copied by Hardy from his old notes. With holograph note at top of cover and first page: "This book to be destroyed, uncopied, at my death." Another holograph note below title on first page reads: "This has not been experimented on." Notes date from 1863 to 1907. Includes clippings pasted in.
